Colleen Cleary

Colleen Cleary leads an experienced team at CC, HR and legal offering clear HR, legal and professional advice in workplace situations, such as disciplinary issues, bullying and harassment, terminations, internal employment investigations and industrial relations issues. Colleen has a reputation for providing personable and timely advice on sensitive and nuanced employment related matters.

Colleen is a skilled workplace investigator combing her HR and legal experience is and an accredited investigator with the US based Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI).

Colleen is qualified as a solicitor in Ireland and England and Wales. She is an experienced litigator and conducts her own advocacy. She is certified in advanced advocacy with the Law Society of Northern Ireland’s National Institute for Trial Advocacy and is an accredited mediator with CEDR

Colleen is the Chair and a founding member of Innangard, an international alliance of law firms specialising in employment law. She was previously chair of the Employment Law Association of Ireland (ELA) and is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and specifically the ABA International Labour and Employment Law Committee. She is also a member of European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA), Professional Practices Alliance and the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) in the UK.

Regan O’Driscoll

Regan is a highly skilled employment lawyer and advises clients on a daily basis on HR matters, whether compliance with Irish law in respect of contractual documentation, day-to-day employee relations matters, data protection, HR policies and procedures, corporate restructurings and business immigration.

She provides tailored advice on internal investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, discrimination claims, complaints of bullying and harassment in the workplace, as well as penalisation for protected disclosures, and workplace stress claims.

She conducts her own advocacy in employment matters before the Workplace Relations Commission and Labour Court. Regan holds a Bachelor of Civil Law as well as Diplomas in Business Studies and Employment Law from University College Dublin, and MAs in literature from both UCD and the University of Cambridge. She is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, Employment Law Association of Ireland and the European Employment Lawyers Association.

Bernadette Daly

Bernadette brings substantial experience in employment law with particular expertise in advising on complex grievance and disciplinary processes as well as conducting investigations and negotiating settlements. She provides strategic litigation support to corporate HR functions in respect of the defence of legal claims to include unfair dismissals and equality claims as well as commercial support in negotiating employment related aspects of corporate acquisitions reorganisations and large-scale outsourcing projects. She has significant experience in advising on post-termination restrictions and team moves as well as redundancies and departmental restructuring, flexible work arrangements, performance and absence management.  Prior to joining our team she spent 15 years as in-house legal counsel with a professional services firm in Dublin where she provided internal legal support on all aspects of employment law. Other experience includes developing and implementing changes to HR policies and procedures to reflect changes in the law and conducting legal training courses. Bernadette holds a BA European Studies (Law and German) from the University of Limerick as well as a University College Dublin Professional Diploma in Employment Law and is a member of the Employment Law Association of Ireland.

Jane O’Meara

Jane is a qualified workplace mediator with 25 years legal and management experience. She has supported CC solicitors in conducting workplace investigations in both the public and private sectors. She has also managed several high value litigation cases including dealing with harassment and occupational stress issues. She has exceptional management and organizational skills. She was previously an Equity Partner with Simpson Millar Solicitors in the UK where she headed up the Personal Injury Department. She has managed many personal injury cases, attended internal disciplinary hearings for employment cases and has conducted multiple workplace investigations for union clients. She is a qualified Mediator from the London School of Mediation. She qualified in law from the Guildford College of Law and from Bournemouth University.

Clara O’Sullivan

Clara is an experienced workplace investigator. She is internationally accredited with the Association of Workplace Investigations (AWI), which champions excellence in conducting workplace investigations. Clara also provides tailored training programmes to IBEC on how to conduct robust workplace investigations that will withstand scrutiny if challenged. She has trained organisations across a broad spectrum of sectors including pharmaceutical, retail and technology. She also trains on dignity at work and early conflict resolution in the workplace. She regularly delivers training to clients on handling protected disclosures in line with the new whistleblowing legislation. Clara previously practiced as a solicitor in Ireland for 20 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and European Studies. Clara is a member of the Employment Law Association of Ireland (ELAI).
