The EU Corporate Sustainability Directive (CSRD) will oblige companies to report on their social and environmental impact. CC HR & Legal assists organisations with the planning and preparation required in advance of the Corporate Sustainability Directive’s implementation. The EU Corporate Sustainability Directive (CSRD) should be implemented into Irish law by mid 2024. It will require organisations to report on their sustainability information in a dedicated sustainability statement within their annual report, including the risks the company faces from a changing climate and other ESG matters but also the impact of their activities on people and the environment. From 1 January 2024 the reporting obligations will commence for large public interest undertakings which comprises of EU listed undertakings with either a balance sheet total exceeding €20 million or a net turnover exceeding €40 million and an average number of employees exceeding 500.
